Delhi Daredevils turned lavender for their game against Kings XI Punjab to mark Cancer Survivor Day, after tying up with YouWeCan, Yuvraj Singh's foundation.

JP Duminy's dismissal of Shaun Marsh meant KXIP's horrendous start continued as the visiting team slipped to 10 for 4, their worst start in the IPL, and were reduced to 45 for 6 inside the first half of the innings.

The Daredevils made a terrific start to the game after the mauling against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Zaheer Khan made a stirring return to cricket when he had Virender Sehwag out with the second ball of the opening over. He got rid of Manan Vohra in his next over as well.

Despite a 57-run stand between David Miller (42) and Axar Patel (22), Nathan Coulter-Nile returned to remove both the batsmen to finish with figures of 4 for 20 as KXIP were restricted to 118 for 8.

Shreyas Iyer and Mayank Agarwal put on 106 for the opening wicket - their first 50-plus opening partnership of the season - as Delhi Daredevils eased towards their target of 119.

Delhi Daredevils had no trouble in their run chase and were powered by Shreyas Iyer's quick-fire start at the top.

Shardul Thakur, making his debut in the IPL, was the only successful bowler for Kings XI Punjab taking the wicket of his Mumbai team-mate Iyer, who was caught in the deep after scoring 54.
